Scientific and practical seminar “Innovative solutions and modern technologies in the dairy industry”

59 – 10 June 2015 year department of milk technology, of fats and perfumery and cosmetic products of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies took part in scientific and practical seminar LLC "Chr. Hansen Ukraine" on the topic: “Innovative solutions and modern technologies in the dairy industry”. Sthe seminar took place in the hotel “Arcadia” m. Odessa. Representatives of milk processing enterprises of Ukraine also took part in the seminar. The aim of the seminar was to highlight theoretical and practical problems of the dairy industry and to find new ways to solve them. 1

The seminar began 9-00 from the report Professor Chagarovsky Oleksandr Petrovych LLC "Hr. Hansen Ukraine", L.O. Karpenko, President of the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine on the topic "Current state of production of dairy products in Ukraine". 42

After interesting statistical data was presented Polishchuk V.M. LLC "Hr. Hansen Ukraine" presentation on the topic: “The most effective solutions for protection against spoilage of fermented milk products, rennet cheese, cheese products, butter during long-term storage, even in case of improper transportation conditions, trade (technology of milk maturation with cultures, lysozyme Afilact, cultures of the FreshQ series, cultures BS-10, 20, 30)”.

The seminar continued with reports on the following topics:3

  • “New effective solutions for fresh production, pickled cheeses, Suluguni cheeses, Mozzarella, Pigtail, Yellow cheese”. Reporter: Bakalenko V. A. (LLC "Hr. Hansen Ukraine"), "Increasing output and reducing costs in the production of rennet cheese, cheese product thanks to the application of new solutions (cultures of DVS, ES, YieldMax enzymes, CHY-MАХ M).   • “A new trend NOLA (lactose-free products). Special enzyme Ha-Lactase for dairy, sour milk, etc. products”. Reporter: Plotnikova R.A. LLC "Hr. Hansen Ukraine";
  • “New cultures for Ayran, Prostokvashi, Kefir, (tank, thermostatic), Bio-Kefir” Reporter: Plotnikova R.A. LLC "Hr. Hansen Ukraine";
  • Schwarte-Milfor equipment for the dairy industry. Reporter: representative of Schwarte-Milfor company.

The first day of the seminar was completed by a boat trip.7

During the coffee break, everyone was able to taste cheese rennet and fermented milk products of domestic and foreign production and taste fruit fillings.

After that, the seminar continued with a report Krytska E.M. Head of the TU Ukrmetrtestandart Registration Department of Ukraine "Legislative news in the field of production and standardization of dairy products".8

She also spoke at the seminar chief. Department of TMZhIPKZ of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Nataliya Andriivna Tkachenko on the topic: “Technologies of bifid-containing protein dairy products”.12

The following reports were also presented:

Department Day

22 May 2015 year in the meeting hall of the Academic Council, aud. A-234 in 14-30 a significant event took place for the department of milk technology, fats and perfumery and cosmetic products – DAY OF THE DEPARTMENT.1

Students of all courses of the department took part in this event, teachers of the department. Students were invited to the event 2 and 3 courses of the Mechanical and Technological Technical College of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies.1

The event began with familiarizing students and guests with the history of its origin, the teaching and pedagogic and engineering staff of the department of milk technology, fats and perfumery and cosmetic products.

After that, the head of the department spoke, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Nataliya Andriivna Tkachenko with words of congratulations and inspiration for students and teachers of the department.2

After that, students of all courses had the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and congratulate the department on an important event. The student was the first to speak 1 course of the group TM-13 Kaminska Marina with a song “Words”. 3

The students continued their performance 2 course of the TM-23 group, who prepared interesting videos and presentations, statistical data on the consumption of dairy products by students, and also the performance was not without cheerful songs.4Students of the TM-24 group also congratulated the department with funny poems, as well as words of thanks to the teachers of the department.5

Students were the next to speak 3 course of the TM-33 group, who demonstrated interesting presentations, rollers, jokes and acted out very interesting skits. The performance ended with a fun song with words “We wish you happiness”.6

The students of the latter were the last to speak 5 course – specialists and masters of the department. Future specialists presented poems, and also a song.7

After the student performances, entertaining contests were held, namely: “Guess the product”, “Brain-ring with students”, and “Briefing of students with teachers of the department”.8 In the competition “Guess the product” students participated 1-3 course, and also a student 2 MTT ONAHT course. The brain-ring with the students was very fun – in addition to useful information, the student won a small present for the largest number of correct answers – a packet of ryazhanka. 9And the briefing with the teachers was also not in vain – students prepared interesting anonymous questions for each teacher, which helped students to communicate more with the teaching staff of the department.10

The event ended with students presenting a gift to the department and its teachers. In general, the event was a great success and ended with applause and smiles from all present. Thank you all for your active participation!

Charity action “Slavic fair”

420 May 2015 year was held in the hall of the main A building of the academy charity event “Slavic fair”, which was dedicated to the Week of the Faculty of Technology and Expertise of Food Products and Perfumery and Cosmetic Products. 2Teachers of the department of milk technology, fats and perfumery-cometic agents, as well as students 1-3 courses actively participated in this event. Each group of students prepared very tasty dishes and food products. Students 1 during the course, various confectionery products were prepared: dough, cookies, bagels, cakes and more. 1The students of the meat and seafood technology department presented sandwiches with sausage, meat delicacies and fish preserves, which they prepared themselves in the laboratories of the department. 5Students 2 and 3 course (TM-24 and TM-33) department of milk technology, fats and perfumery and cosmetic products, healthy yogurts with natural fruit fillers were prepared in the laboratories of the department (peach, strawberry, currant, plum, apricot, raspberry, blueberries, etc.), as well as very tasty milkshakes based on ice cream and fruit. 3All those interested had the opportunity to enjoy the food products of the students. In addition to delicious dishes, the audience was entertained by the student ensemble with songs and dances. In general, the event was a great success and enthusiasm! Thank you to all the participants and organizers for the great mood!

16.05.2015 p. – Open day

216 May on Saturday 1000 year. another one took place in the walls of the Odessa National Academy Open day. All faculties and specialties of the academy were presented at the event. Each applicant had the opportunity not only to listen to the presentations of the faculties, and also to communicate with its representatives.
