At the Faculty of Technologyedible products, perfumery and cosmetic products, expertise and commodity studies 03.04.2017 of the year, an open curatorial hour on the topic was held: “Our Odesa – our story”. It was conducted by invited T.V. Makovsky, the curator of the TM-34 group, candidate of historical sciences, teacher of Kyiv National University named after. T.G. Shevchenko Papakin Artem Georgiyovych and reenactors of the club "VEMI" Roman Medyanik, Oleksandr Tsyryulnikov and Serhii Shamenkov.

Lecturer Papakin Artem introduced the audience to the history of the country in the first centuriesof a new era, when there were Roman military garrisons on the territory of the modern Odesa region, fortresses were built, stone roads and Roman baths and gladiatorial battles were held in which people and animals fought.

Representatives of the reenactors' club arrived at the curator's hour with vexilled exhibits - dishes, leather bags, ladies' brooches, buttons, military weapons – with sabers, daggers, protective shields. Themselves the reenactors were dressed in authentic armor, the helmets and clothing and shoes of Roman legionaries and displayed the appropriate weapons. The guests of the event got acquainted with the peculiarities of everyday life and daily life of Roman legionnaires and their families, who lived in the territories of Odesa. The attendees also learned the intricacies of blacksmith work in the manufacture of chain mail, sewing sandals, weaving homespun cloths. The extraction of fire with the help was demonstrated flint and cresal and tinder.

Invaluable help in the organization of this meeting was provided by the BF "Good Samaritan" and personally to Vice President Denys Petrovych Serdychenko. The attendees received many bright emotions from the organized photo session with the guests. In the end, the curators sincerely thanked the guests for the unforgettable impressions of the organized meeting and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
